Art has been a big part of my life from an early age. My mum played a large part as we spent many hours drawing, making & creating things. My interest in drawing first came from the mice in the Cinderella story. I would draw them and copy the shading in pencil form.
My creative side came from making things with paper mache. This desire led me to be interested in sculpture & through my later school days I sculpted a life size Zebra using chicken wire & paper mache which was displayed for years after in the schools entrance.
At college I created a statue 8 foot by 3 foot to represent the Tiananmen Square protests, with bubbles mixed with red food colouring coming out of its mouth to represent the blood spilt through the violence. I felt I was compelled to create art, my talent grew over the years as did my passion & love for art. At present I have created a collection of eight large pieces on canvas I felt a wave of energy sweep over me and created these very different art pieces.
I combine the colour of paints with every day objects to bring art closer to every day life.
I am now very lucky that I have my own gallery upstairs in my shop where I display and sell my art.
